Board Names

Jason Davy, Managing Director
With over 20 years experience in asbestos removal, Jason is managing director of Lexia Solutions Group, the holding company developed in 2004 by the Rhodar board, to manage the groups’ companies, Rhodar, Bagnall UK, Thermac and Novas. One of the leading figures within the asbestos industry, he is the former chairman of the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA) and is currently PR chairman for the Association. He has been instrumental in modernising safety standards and professional standing within the construction industry whilst developing all aspects of Lexia’s growth and success.

 

Richard Collins, Group Commercial Director
Richard was appointed to the Lexia Solutions Group Board as sales and marketing Director in 2006. Formerly VP Director of Sales with Transaction Network Services, Richard has over 15 years experience in strategic sales and marketing. Richard is responsible for the overall direction and control of the Lexia Group sales and marketing activities, the development of strategy and its implementation. Richard also takes an active part in driving and assisting the sales efforts and participates in the general corporate governance and control of the group.

 

Chris Earl, Operations Director
Chris was appointed Operations Director for Lexia Solutions Group in 2004, from his previous position as Operations Director for Rhodar. With over 20 years experience within the construction and maintenance industries, his role within Lexia is to strengthen and update working procedures, particularly in relation to quality assurance and supply chain management across the group's businesses. A member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB), Chris also oversees high value projects and term contracts for Rhodar.

 

Andrew Thornber, Financial Director
Andrew joined the board of Lexia Solutions Group as Financial Director in 2004, having been appointed Financial Director for Rhodar in May 2003. A chartered accountant with senior project and general management experience across a multinational business environment, Andrew was previously finance director of DAF Trucks in Poland for three years. Prior to this, he had been a project director for Pricewaterhouse Coopers, within a cost and financial management consultancy for Central and Eastern Europe. At Lexia, he has been instrumental in restructuring the group and acquiring subsidiaries, and has developed budget control and monitoring tools for the whole business.

 

Dave Hart, Contracts Director
Dave was appointed Contracts Director for Lexia Solutions Group in 2004. Prior to this he was Contracts Director for Rhodar from 2000. He joined Rhodar in 1980 as an asbestos operative and has held several managerial roles within Rhodar, including 13 years as Humberside regional manager. His specialism is fast track abatement work and technically challenging asbestos projects within the chemical and allied heavy industries.

 

 

Lance Munt, Contracts Director
Lance was appointed Contracts Director for Lexia Solutions Group 2004. Lance is responsible for the management and control of the Rhodar Southend and Heathrow Airport office. Lance became involved in the asbestos industry in 1990 after 7 years as a Safety Liaison Officer in the petrochemical industry for London & Coastal Wharf. As a specialist in security and safety sensitive works, he has been an instrumental figure in many of the company's most prestigious and high profile projects. His asbestos industry knowledge coupled with his inexhaustible understanding of safety procedures throughout the construction industry, has led to Lance becoming one of the most highly respected figures within our specialist asbestos abatement field.

 

Steve Watts, Consultancy Director
Steve has nearly 25 years experience in the asbestos industry. Initially, he held senior management positions for three of the industry's major asbestos removal companies before switching to consultancy in the early 1990's. Steve has been Managing Director of Blues Consultants Ltd for the last ten years prior to his appointment as MD of Life Environmental Services Ltd. He is currently a member of the ARCA Governing Council and takes over as Chairman in October 2007. Due to his experience on both sides of the industry, Steve's balanced views are respected throughout the industry.

 

Mike Smith, Health & Safety Director
A member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and a Registered Safety Practitioner (RSP), Mike has a wealth of experience as a Health and Safety consultant. As head of Lexia’s Health and Safety, Mike is also responsible for identifying areas for improvement and implementation of all health and safety policies relating to the asbestos abatement industry and business across Lexia Solutions Group's activities. His remit, along with his team of trainers and auditors, is to ensure Rhodar’s procedures and practices meet and surpass current legislation and best practice.

 

John Purvis, Non Executive Director
John Purvis, former chief executive at White Young Green, has been appointed by Lexia Solutions Group as its first non-executive director.
The newly-created board position signals a commitment by the asbestos and environmental solutions specialist to strengthen its board, as it continues to diversify the business and deliver ambitious growth plans over the next three years.
Purvis stepped down as chief executive at WYG earlier this year, having overseen a decade of strong growth for the multi-disciplinary consultant, taking it from £21 million to £210 million turnover in ten years.

 

Chris Pygall, Strategic Development Director
Chris Pygall began his career in the electrical contracting business as a regional manager before moving into operations. He joined Dataform, a print management business, as operations manager and during a period of management buy out, which took the company from a £12m to £40m turnover, Chris was appointed as operations director and then group managing director. He later joined a packaging business as chief executive to complete a substantial turnaround.
